Motor bogging down

Hey guys, I’m using a Honda GX390 belt driven machine with a 2500 PSI/5 GPM pump. My unloader is set at 2000 PSI. Machine works great using my gun, but whenever I switch over to my surface cleaner the motor starts dying. If I continue to hold down the trigger the motor dies, but if I let off of it the motor continues to run. I’m using a 20” Hammerhead with 25020 tips. I’ve changed the spark plug and made sure the carburetor was clean. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your tips are too small on the SC. You only have 4GPM worth of tips, tryin to flow 5GPM. Most use 25025’s with a 4GPM machine. I get 2300 psi with the 25025. I use 25035’s on the 6.5GPM machine

Get 25035 tips. I run them on the same machine and they work fine. Check out the chart.

Gonna give it a try, have a couple drives on the schedule this morning. Thanks!

It was a clogged main jet in the carburetor…problem solved.
