Mosmatic Swivel

You must’ve missed what was going on in his pics. He adapted his gun to have a 3/8 male plug, instead of the typical 1/4 female socket.

He then removed the trigger guns on his SC’s, and replaced them with 3/8” female sockets. So now all he has to do is pop off the lance and connect the gun directly to the SC.

If I used a SC, this is how I would do it. (I might take a shortcut and just install a 1/4 male plug on the SC, and avoid having an adapter on my gun)

The gun takes the place of a ball valve

I have it set that way but usually just disconnect my whole lance (a whopping 6 inches!) so I don’t have to take out my j-rod. Apply soap, walk to trailer and switch to water, clear the line, disconnect my lance, connect to my SC, and there we go. Then just disconnect surface cleaner, pop lance back in, rinse and done (post-treat if needed).

The only thing that I could see taking some getting used to is most surface cleaners have a straight gun

??? Uh??

Using a ball valve is a pain in the neck. Way easier to let the gun do what it was designed for, start and stop the flow of water. No need for another heavy device that does the same thing.

DO you have a photo of your surface cleaner without the standard gun? Curious on how you secure the washing gun to the surface cleaner when doing concrete.

Nicely done, IBS @Innocentbystander! The redundant gun on my hammerhead wouldn’t work, but now I see what you describe about the 90 degree going into the SC to keep it from flying away. THAT would have been much cheaper than the casters I bought to add weight when I went to 8-9 GPM.
