More Important Things

Went and checked on car wash job, did a full Housewash and closed a 3500sf roof job all before lunch. Now on to that monster sheepshead I saw yesterday evening.

If it’s not to much trouble @mgcmike , I love flounder sir…

I hear ya! When I was laid off I went and bought a new tackle box and all the stuff to get the little boat legal. I was wanting to fish every other weekend. So far I’ve been out on it for 3 hours and most of that was spent holding a Barbie pole for my daughter :joy:

You and me both!!! I want a modified John boat with sight platform and spotlights to go flounder gigging so bad!
Have you ever had pompano?

No sir, sounds tasty though @mgcmike . My brother just came back from a 7 mth stent in Syira, he lives over by camp Lejeune, I’m gonna head that way next month hopefully to go see him and get our brother fish on. I Love ,love salt water fishing…

Triple tail, flounder, pompano, mahi mahi taste wise in that order.

You live close to the beach in Florida I take it?

Im trying to get my wife into it. She more likes catching the bait. A dolphin almost pulled her in on a charter and she’s been kinda scarred lol

I love crabbing with the rope thing and chicken gizzard with the little net. It’s so comforting to me

20 mins north of Destin

You lucky duck,I’ve been there, Destin beaches and the clear water are beautiful.

Navarre Beach is my favorite then Destin. I consistently see more wildlife in Navarre but Destin is closer.

We just sold ours…TOTAL 5 hours of water time since we bought it in October. We can do a nice inshore charter trip once a year for what we were paying to insure it. (Plus, no towing or maintenance involved with a charter)

Now the old Grumman canoe (which has been upside down in the back yard since last September) is going to get some attention once the season slows down.

The two best days in a boat owner’s life???

They’re gonna shut down recreational flounder fishing in NC in August for a year then only have a month long season next year… gonna have to cross the border and go catch some SC flatties!
