Mobile Auto Detailer-Trailer Setup

Good morning all,

I recently ordered a custom 4 x 8 enclosed trailer for my detailing business. I have done quite a bit of research both online, and on youtube regarding power washer/tank setup for this industry, but I have a couple of questions for guys that have allot of on the job experience with different types of pressure washers. As the wash is a small part of my detail, I am not looking to spend a great deal of money on the wash portion of my trailer setup. (Setting up central vac, big compressor, big inverter and such) I believe that a 50 to 65 gallon tank should work just fine as the majority of the jobs I do, the customer will have water access, I just want to have the ability to do a couple of vehicles at an office if they don’t have water access. Sorry for the ramble, I will now get to the questions.

Can a direct drive power washer gravity feed from a tank? Will be running around 2500 to 3000 PSI at 2.5 to 3.0 GPM. Or will I need a 12V pump to feed the PW? Trying to find a tank with at least a 1" bulkhead which I will of course reduce and filter.

Can someone recommend a low cost PW that small? I know most of you guys use monsters, but I thought I would take a shot.

Any and all info is appreciated. If there is anyone in Detroit Metro that wouldn’t mind helping me set things up, I would be more than happy to pay for your time, or do a full detail on a vehicle for your assistance. (Everyone’s time is money) I am a great detailer, but unfortunately, not a very handy guy.
