Mixing surfactant and bleach

Come do mine next lol

lol. If you saw it right now you’d change your mind on that. lol.
I have that closet maid extra tough shelving in the garage. Definitely helps with organization. Finally bought a bunch of small plastic bins to help organize everything. Was using brown boxes for years but wanted a little cleaner look.

I have gotten it to the point in the last few years where I knew where 98% of everything was. So if I needed to find something, it wasn’t a prob. Got a little junky towards the end of last season. And then it gets cold and it’s no fun working in the cold. Plus, I’m pretty sure my mind is like “Oh, the season is over? It’s time to be done with all-things-power-washing for awhile.”

I did buy a nice SH-proof winter coat with my logo for washing in March/April. Those mornings can start out at 35F and end up at 65F.

All of the bad reviews on the tank say the drain caps are terribly prone to either not go on and/or leak. Have you had to deal with this and did you put some kind of sealant in the threads?

That makes sense my tank were either in an enclosed trailer or van

Yeah, it’s the sun that kills them. Had that happen on a couple of those 5 gallon water carboys, too. They literally just crumble.

I found out I have one of those completely by accident lol

The one I had been using was the same—found out it was SH proof by accident. It was really cold and I needed a coat and I didn’t care if it got messed up.

Then I decided to look at the tag and get a similar material but one that matched the company colors/logo.

Arrived a week ago. Got to wear it twice so far. Been a cooler two months in Missouri than we’re used to.

No kidding. I think our first day of washing was a high of 35…I wasn’t super enthused to say the least. Between trying to wrap up the new trailer build, wash, and finish up some winter projects it’s been hectic. Then you throw the weather in the mix and it just isn’t fun lol we’re almost there though!

We washed in 40F and raining the whole day a couple weeks ago.

It was honestly the worst day of washing ever weather-wise.

Soaked to the bone. Fingers frozen. And we were washing a huge wedding venue that was a mud pit on one side.

Lol u would absolutely hate oilfield washing then. Coolest I’ve ever washed in was -7 real temp in the panhandle of Texas. The wind out there is brutal.

Yeah, I’d be out real quick. Lol.

I do go running when it’s super cold because then it makes running in 20F not seem so bad. Kind of a “if I can deal with this I can deal with anything” mentality.

@Daltone_72 when considering tanks on your trailer for either “full strength” SH or watered-down mix, it’s worth knowing that pretty much all of the rectangular poly tanks in use for this are illegal as far as the DOT is concerned. Most in the industry simply get away with using unapproved/non-certified tanks, but the fines can be devastating if you get caught by the wrong person.

It’s pretty easy to conform to the DOT laws which apply to us all here in the US:

What is holding down the far end of the pressure washer?

FWIW, my Fimco 5-gallon 12V wheeled sprayer is “OK” for homeowners, but not very high quality at all. The warranty support was horrible.

@HotsyJoey there’s actually nothing holding the other end of the washer. I haven’t had any problems with movement in my washer. Right now it’s just a ratchet strap across the front and that has been more than enough.

That’s what I suspected.

Trust me, if you are forced to nail the brakes, or otherwise come to an abrupt stop, that pressure washer will go for a ride.

I plan to take it off the wheels and mount it to the trailer itself, just a slow go on my build right now. Lots of plans for the future just not in a very big rush at the moment.
