I have a house wash for Friday and don’t think I’m getting my injector(s) until Monday. Unless some suggestions I received on FB work which I haven’t tried yet, I’m going to have to soap down the house with my roof pump and rinse with my pressure washer.
What would be an appropriate mix ratio for directly out of the tank?
That is only way I do my house washing.
danwagner , for .75% of sh hitting the house 3 gallons 12.5% 47 gallons of water … for 1% 4 gallons 12.5% 46 gallons of water … I assuming you have at least a 50 gallon tank for your roof setup. For your surfactcant I’m guessing 4-6 oz of fresh wash or elemonator. Maybe somelse can confirm that for you as I always downstream
Good to know I’m not crazy, Eric!
Yes, I have a 65 gal. tank. So, basically the “magic” percentage to the wall is .75- 1.00?
That’s what I try to stay within … I’ve heard some go up to 1.25 % on brick
I use roof mix on the brick.
1% solution on siding, 1-2% on dryvit / stucco, and 2-3% on brick.
Wow, you use 5% on brick (that’s what my roof mix is). Eric, you sure you just don’t feel like changing you mix, LOL. I think I am going to bump up my mix up a little for brick though. BTW, it was nice meeting you and your wife in Nashville.
I did the house today. Approx 3.2 gallons of 12.5%, about 21 gallons water and surfactant. Worked fine. My PW’s starter cord broke again, so I just rinsed using the roof pump as well. It took longer, but still did a fine job.
what are you guys using as surfactant? anything thing else added to the mix for vinyl?
We shoot between 3-5% (5% being a little hotter) for house wash mixes. 3% is safe. If you are doing Dryvit and have the black lines I juice it up a little.
Elemonator from pressuretek.com
thanks for the info! it’s tough picking through millions of blogs and forums just to get the basics figured out lol
Elemonator sheets of siding real nice
