Customer spilled this Min wax stain. It’s a water-based solid stain. I’m not even sure where to start with this one. The challenge is that the concrete is only six months old as this is a new construction home. I was thinking muriatic acid but don’t want to destroy the slab.
Call minwax. They probably deal with this question all the time. They’ll be able to help.
Muriatic could get you in trouble with new concrete. Such a small job. Not sure it’s worth the risk of you being on the hook.
Like @qons said call Minwax… I would think a gel stripper, or even World’s Best Graffiti Remover, would be a much better option than muriatic acid. Using muriatic is just asking for trouble.
I called Minwax and they did not have a solution for removing stain from concrete. Only removing it from wood. I agree too small to mess with I think.
Ugh. That’s not a good sign.
I know you want to be helpful but new concrete makes it pretty rough.
If you move forward I’d put in the contract some disclaimers about discoloration of the concrete, etc.
Always start mild and move up to stronger options.
Tie up your boots and walk away!
Definitely going to walk away from this one fellas. Thank you all for your help!
