Mine is 125 gallon check out the you tube video. This Van took a lot of custom fabrication work but well worth the money. Plus it helps to have an engineer as a close friend. Let me know if you have any questions!

Nice setup. What kind of tanks are those

They are from a plumbing and landscaping supply. They are for rain storage and are supposed to be vertically mounted against a house for collection. Can’t remember the brand but I’ve posted it on this forum before. Might take some diggin.

Emerson. I kind of am tired of hauling my trailer around. I have a van so I figure why not.
Do you like the van setup or is room a issue

One more thing Emerson with your tanks can you tell the level of water you have

I think every set up will have its issues no matter what and will never be 100% perfect. For me, in my strange city with 1,000,000 one way streets that are narrow and a bugger to turn around on even if they are 2 way street, this set up works great for me. My next rig will be a 10-12’ cube van with a sealed cabin. For now it works great but I want a hot unit amd have 2 machines on board. I would love to have a roof tank/pumps as well on board but it’s not safe for now so the trailer is a must. Next tool for me in this van will be a WFP and DI system but with that I’ll be maxing out usable space but it will work great.
The water level is to the left of my hose reels, I think I mention it in the video briefly. All I did was get a 1" clear tube and put UNI seals in the top and bottom of the tank to make it work. Super easy and a must have. Eventually I need to install a visible float ball or something so I can see the water level from a distance.

Thanks. I think a box truck would be perfect for me just can’t quite justify spending the money on it now. But definitely in the future

I must add, the 125 gallon tanks are great 90% of the time. Commercial jobs and new homes in my area have great flow from the house but some of the older buildings and most wells are a weak out out and some times I have to wait for water. On jobs like that it’s all bout efficiency and time management.

Do you have any clue of how far belt drives can pull water from say I have a small trailer with extra water tank behind van would you think they can pull that far

I’ve done that before but it was tied into the tanks you see in the video but I would assume as long as there is some big fat hose feeding it and th water level is reasonably high I would say no problem. Maybe get 1.5" feed hose if you are doing that. Mine is 1" and is dual fed at the pump now.

I was occasionally having trouble with a 100 gallon tank running about 8gpm. Now that I’ve slowed the pump down to 6.5 gpm with a larger pulley I rarely have issues. So I’d agree 125 is good. We use 55 gallon tanks for our 5.5 gpm sprayers. There’s always those parts of town that just have weak water flow. I wonder if there are municipal maps out there documenting water flow in different neighborhoods.
