Beautimous! I’ve been brainstorming a van rig for a while now. Keep the equipment out of the elements & get rid of the trailer but the billboard opportunities on a van are the cherry on top. Nice build sir!
Thank you. I wasn’t planning on building it. But one came along cheap. I had all the equipment in the shop. Im not a super big fan of van builds. But at 20 miles to the gallon. It can do basic house washes all day long. Those little transits are surprisingly stout. I also put drilled and slotted rotors on it so it will stop and load leveling shocks in the rear. We never travel with water. But even completely loaded the rear dropped 1.5 inches
Firestone and AirLift I think both make airbag kits for the transit connect. Helps support the back end a bit. Cool build, btw.
Might also want to consider external venting for the bleach tank, to help keep fumes to a minimum.
It is vented though the floor and out the back. I was going to put air bags in it and i still may. But it doesn’t need them. We dont move water unless its in a neighborhood. If i need to bring water i will just bring the flatbed. This was set up mostly for the city. You can park it anywhere. It will ruin the truck eventually but i got less than 8k in the whole thing including the truck. Im going to put everything on a slide in skid for the next one.
Is that a 5.5 gear drive? I see the proportioner, where is the 12v?
Its a 6.8 Allison. I was the the top bidder in the raffle. The 12v is stuck beside the mixer. I will post better pictures soon. Gotta button it up
How are you liking that Allison pump? I’ve been eyeballing them for a while & can’t find any complaints anywhere but not much feedback otherwise. I’ve got a spare GX390 I’ve been considering adding to my rig with a higher gpm pump just for house washing alongside the 4gpm I’ve been running.
Its a comet pump rebranded by envirospec.com. I bought one years ago ,no complaints
@Hotshot Thanks dewd! I knew about the Comet part but I was just trying to discern between the “Honda vs Hyundai” part of it because that’s what matters at the end of the day & you’ve obviously been a huge help as usual. I totally owe you some dead plants haha.
“You can’t fit all that in a micro van”
Hold my beer
Nice build, is that AG hose you’re using for your bypass hose? Think it will lay flat in the heat without using a elbow there?
Why has nobody mentioned the pink engine and pump???
I’m still looking at those conduit straps and sheet metal screws holding down the reels.
If you look closely you can see the big bolts. I put them in for mock up and to be honest just left them because i was to lazy to climb in and take the off.
Your probably right. It came with and was just long enough. I wasnt completely sure i could make it all work when i out it together still working the kinks out
The pink pressure washer. Well envirospec did a breast cancer fund raiser and i was the winning bid. I don t mind it. But they did a â– â– â– â– â– â– job. When i bid on it.it looked like they had it painted come to find out someone spray painted it. And i paid 200.00 more than i could have just bought a black one. But i was for a good a cause
We haven’t used it enough to tell but im sure its fine. Im not a fan of gear drives.but here we are
Beer drinking while building it may or may not have happened
@Firefighter4hire weren’t you the one who built the trailer from a spool trailer before? What did you do with it?
I built that trailer from scratch. But i still have the little bull as @Hotshot calls it. It was time for a rebuild so i built the big flatbed. Both of them are a pain in the but to park in the city.
