Do you charge the customer to pay for all the materials or just certain materials?

I buy the 5 gal kits for sealing. On larger jobs, the price per square foot more than covers all the materials. Smaller jobs are tricky. If I have enough left over material, I will usually stick with the price per square foot rule. If I’m forced to buy another kit to do a small job, I charge the customer for the kit and the square foot price. I don’t do a lot of sealing in my area so the kits just sit around for months sometimes before I get another project.
