Male or Female leading?

This guy has some valid points, but, I don’t agree. I think these fittings were designed to flow outward through a “male” and flow inward into a “female” but, this horse still clings to life.

This debate about quick connects has been keeping you up at night huh lol

There is no other reason for living. Aside from fuel additives, but, who’s counting?

Hahahahhaha

I think I remember IBS using the exact same reason for leading with the male end. If you had the female leading it would get beat to hell just from dragging your hose all over the ground. You can prevent yourself from throwing your gun around in your truck but kind of hard to prevent the end of the hose from being pulled around on the ground. I guess if you didn’t use a whip and always made sure to walk the end of the hose to the truck before reeling it up it would be okay.

I think to make it easier for me to decide on things I might just start flipping a coin. Want to call it in the air Mark?

I don’t proclaim anything. I just like to throw ideas into the lion pit and see what happens. Isn’t that what this forum is for? Exchange of ideas. That’s the key to enlightenment.

Many many people have been using them like the guy in the video for a long time. Even if they were technically designed to flow out through a male, and even if you could technically make a better argument for flowing out through a male, it’s unquestionable that they function perfectly fine for our purposes either way. Try it both ways and see which you prefer… either works.

Also, that guy (Michael K.) was a pretty big name in the industry before he sold his business… his opinion is a testament to the viability of that configuration.

His comment about ease of removing primary reason I use that way. Plus I like the frothy water flow. But this has been discussed 100’s of times. @mark44 you need to find another hobby

+1 I always enjoy seeing both sides of things and hearing the reason behind the opinion. I can see the pros on both sides here.

I agree with Michael and @Racer…it is easier for me and THAT is ALL that counts.

It’s only easier for you now because you had been DOING IT WRONG lol

This is the ONLY way that I have ever done it…set it up this way from the start and have no interest in changing as it serves no purpose to change…no advantage to doing it the other way.

I was just messing with you but you shouldn’t be so closed minded because there are advantages. You should have used caps on the NO though

Not closed minded…it has to do with arthritis in my thumb.

And, again…there is no advantage to me…you, maybe…but not me.

I feel your pain but in my right shoulder

And, I have that, too.:grinning:

You just had to one up me!

Yeah…it is funny, I was just about to put Aspercreme on my shoulder when I read your post. I have a big house to wash tomorrow…Aspercreme seems to help.

Need a hand???

I should get some help…BUT…I don’t have enough business to afford the workers compensation…I am retired and this is a part time job for me. I only want to work a max of 10hrs a week…but right now, after this house tomorrow and one on Tuesday, I will be caught completely up. I seem to have reached the end of my market. In the last month, I cannot get a call nor can I seem to sell any service to someone in person. I really don’t understand what is going on…Feb was the best month that I have ever had and March has been the worst…looking like April will be nothing at all.
