Making Transition From Pressure Wash Employee To Owner Operator

also like to add i never said i was charging 75 dollars exactly, they saw that on one of the pictures on my page, what i advertise is $80-$100, it will all be tweaked and upgraded and made more professional as i go along… thank you so much those who showed me encouragement and support, May God bless you with more than you ask for in life.

Your logo looks like it was created by a 6 year old little girl, which also shows your level of maturity, no offense… Did the guys you worked for in the past 4 years of gaining your expertise, use similar logos?

Even at 100/wash I can assure you of two things

  1. You will be busy almost every day
  2. You will be flat broke at the end of the day - IF you are actually trying to support your own business and not live off of your parents paying all your bills.

Grow up and take responsibility for YOUR OWN actions, be a man for the first time in your life. It won’t be easy but surviving the hardships of life is part of being a responsible adult

if a person cant live off of 2 to 3 hundred dollars a day they thats their fault, dont spend more money than you have.

I realize it has already been said in this post, but within less than a week you managed to ruin the BEST resource you had going for you. This site was built for folks like you and I. Folks who have an idea or concept, and want to pick the brains of business’ that have been in this industry probably longer than you have been alive. It is obvious that nothing you have been told is going to sink in, because in your FOUR years of experience somehow you know more than the guys that have been doing this for 25+ and generate millions of dollars of revenue year after year after year. You talked about spending hours on this forum and now you know all you need to get started. I have been a part of this forum and doing research here for almost two years, pressure washing with a family friend off and on for over 8 and I have yet to pull the trigger (figuratively) because I know there is more to learn.
But instead of rambling for the next two hours about how incompetent you actually are, my original purpose is to apologize to all the senior members of this thread on YOUR behalf. People like me rely on the good will, information, and support from the guys within the PWRA. I just hope your lack of respect, common sense, and reality of how a business works didn’t piss the guys here off so much there not willing to help others in the future. My business plan would not be as thorough as it is today without the help and support I have received here over the years.

So please, from me to the rest of the PWRA, I apologize on behalf of PRESSURELite, please don’t let this bad egg ruin it for the guys that greatly appreciate what ya’ll do.

$52,000 - $78,000 a year? I could live off that if my parents paid all my bills but there is NO WAY you can run a business and support yourself with that small amount of money coming in. In your first year you will have about 100% (most likely more) of your money going back into the business.

Pressurelite…! These guys are trying to help you succeed. If you want to do well and support a family one day off pressure cleaning you need to build that foundation right now. Have a profession setup, with some quality/professional signs, and charge what a business owner would charge. Your prices are wayyyyy too cheap bud. I started off just like you a couple of years ago. I learned quickly when stuff starts to break its not cheap to replace. I’m not talking property damage… I’m talking something like pump seal/valves or whatever it may be. I see guys in my local area that do the same thing your doing now. One year later they bid theirselves out of business. I get about one phone call a month for new clients that say “you bidded against this guy last year. He was much cheaper but he’s out of business now.” People will pay for quailty work and when you get too busy to bid bigger jobs and need a employee you won’t be able to afford anything other than a meth head to work for you. That also reflects on your business.
