Machine keeps shutting down few minutes after starting (iGX700)

Oil light flashes (~1/2 second on, 1 second off, repeating) when it shuts down. Oil level right where it should be. Last couple times this has happened, it’s resolved itself after a couple restarts and waiting for it to warm up adequately. Today it’s not going so well

Does not seem to matter whether I’m in bypass or spraying, soaping or rinsing. :man_shrugging:t2:

If it’s intermittent I’d wager the oil level sensor is either faulty or shorting out somewhere.

Last time this happened to me a few weeks ago it was the gas cap that wasn’t venting enough. Found the problem on a thread here. PWRA is great.

Alright. So my hunch might be right. Struggling to pull fuel. Bummer. I really liked using the truck’s fuel tank, but it might just be too long a run for the fuel pump to be happy about it.

If it will run on starter fluid, you’ve pinpointed a fuel issue.

Update?

Oil was right up to the top mark on the dipstick. I decided to let a couple ounces out the drainzit and see what happened. So far machine is running more smoothly; no more shutdowns yesterday or today.

But I really do think I need to install a dedicated fuel tank. I just don’t know where I’m gonna install it on this cramped rig.

Edit: the oil light on these machines seems to have different “codes” that it blinks. I remember when I had an electrical issue a couple years ago, it was a rapid flash. But for the life of me I can’t find a guide anywhere online on how to read the different codes.
