Just getting started out. Can I use the M5 twist on a 5.5 12V while using a proportioner?
That’s what I use
Question on those M5 twists, does changing the spray pattern effect the flow rate any? So, like when it’s a wide fan pattern is it restricting the flow more than the 0 deg jet setting? The reason I use a j-rod with my soft wash setup is because the injector is designed for low pressure and a #50 nozzle size. I’ve tested it and using anything smaller, like a #40 it won’t draw. Any larger and it draws much stronger. I’d like something like the M5, but if it changes flow rates any it won’t work for me.
Flow rate is the same. The adjustment just varies the spray. You’ll see when you get it, spray adjustment completely separate.
Flow the same, it just adjust the pattern/fan.
It’s all the same percentage coming out because it’s pre mixed from 12v so you’re only adjusting coverage
My system uses a low pressure injector, not premixed. So with the 3-7 gpm M5, what is the actual orifice size of it?
You’d probably have to call the manf to fine that out. Southside on it’s site says it’s a #13 orifice
Call and ask for TJ. My son might be working there if he isn’t at the Raleigh location, but TJ can help you with any questions about Mike’s nozzle
