Low water pressure at house

I definitely see why you veteran washers use a buffer tank on your trailer rigs. Did a friend’s house today and was promised they had decent spigot flow, but surprise…probably 2-3gpm.

I had to let my 100’ supply hose pressurize for about 20 seconds before pulling the trigger on my new 4gpm machine, then stop after 10-15 seconds. Poor pump, really didn’t like running low on water. At least I had presence of mind to know what was happening and release the trigger.

Maybe some day I can afford a trailer rig with tank but will have to verify for myself first if they have decent pressure.

On a side note, I understand there is some way to modify the M5 for more of a stream instead of a ‘ski resort snowmaker’ effect it puts out now? Yes, I tried to search.

Don’t run the pump if there’s not enough water, you could burn the seals on the pump, not worth it

Perfect, thank you.

To understand this a bit, this helps with water reach over two stories and prevents the misting effect?
