I bought a back up unit just to have about 2 weeks ago, it all works at it should. Except the pump seems to have low pressure, it has enough water to feed the pump and no leaks.
Its a 4,000 psi pump, I have a gauge on it and when I pull the trigger the psi drops and stays at 2,000 psi… correct tip and all…
I know there’s psi loss when on the trigger but dropping 2,000 is too much in my opinion…
What would the pump need? Seals or Check valves?
Thanks
I guess you already checked the unloader settings?
Yeap, I see the unloader working as it should…
When off the trigger the psi is at 4k just like it should, but once I squeeze it drops to 2,000 and I have the correct orifice nozzle in there… I think the pumps weak
You probably have a cracked plunger and it wiped the seals on that cylinder. If you’re feeling a vibration it’s probably that. You could also have a sticky check valve so check those as well. Not a bad idea to replace if they’ve got 500+ hours on them.
Face palm moment!
I totally forgot these 13HP hondas have a manual throttle and it was set too low! Pump needed some rpms. Pressure Is good!
