Anyone have an example of a 1 ton flatbed with a ladder rack that comes in under 80"? Looking for a dedicated truck this winter and really trying to avoid a trailer.
Could likely swap to barn doors on the garage and get it to 7’.
Anyway, if anyone has an example I would appreciate it. Trying to narrow down the truck search.
You can put any size ladder rack you want on the truck. Make it even with the cab of the truck. I don’t know how high the cab is, but that’s about as low as you can go.
I suppose if I drive in fast enough the roof would form exactly to the height I need it…

I’m a firm believer that there are dumb questions, but yours wasn’t. My mind sees about 10 different ways to build a ladder rack, but I have a hard time finding the calculator on my phone
I got my rack at about a 45 degree angle on the side of my trailer, instead of being flat overhead like most. I find it very easy to remove and put back on it. I think I got the idea off infinity or someone else on here.
