It is still happening today, rednecks and hillbillies don’t give things up easily. They just don’t use PAM, they use the Walmart knockoff. I use it on my snowblower chute when I run out of my other stuff, old lady asks me why I am grabbing the spray out of the kitchen cabinet. Nostalgia, gets me in trouble all the time. I think you miss the friends, and the crazy memories, but after the 4th month of snow, wind, ice, and crappy driving you’d be saying WTF did I come back to this for? That is why in jan/feb I go to Florida for a couple of days, gets my mind right and then back to the igloo. One year I went to Florida it was 65 ish when I left, and when I went to get my truck at the airport parking lot it was -10. I was still in shorts, kind of takes your breath away, and the sack shrivels.
There is a reason for snow birding, geese aren’t that dumb. I can’t stand the south in the summer though, fire ants, bugs galore, never ending onslaught of heat and humidity. Southern California was kinda nice, but it never rained, everything dry as a bone, asphalt melting prolonged heat. I don’t like florida in the summer at all, like getting hit with a hot wet towel every time you go outside (I know you guys get acclimated to it, but I hated it). Perfect living for me would be north in the fall spring and summer, south from Dec-Mar.
My season just began! And I hate every bit of it already! Building a brine pre wet system for my salt spreader. Kinda like building a fancy soft wash system… but for brine.
That’s a 3 inch long rod drilled through the bone. Was in for 2 months while I healed. They ripped it out with a pair of pliers with no numbing medicine.
I stripped my trailer down this weekend and blew out all of my hoses. Still need to drain oils and organize everything in the garage but I’m done with 2019. I’ve started scheduling for next spring and started my winter job. We’re supposed to get sleet and snow in a couple hours so I’m laid up on the couch snuggling with the dogs lol
