Looking for injector orifices

Instead of buying an entire new injector I want to just replace the orifices. They get blown out over time which alters the final mix ratio, and they’re easy to replace. I know that they can be had but sourcing them is somewhat difficult. Flowpro has a kit that clips onto their bypass but I don’t want one of each, I want a sack of 1.8 & 2.1’s. I suspect Dultmeier has them but their website is so difficult to search/navigate.

Anyone know where I can order some at a reasonable price?

Well, you can certainly do that but you are spending money on a $19 part. An injector rebuild kit is like $9. General Pump Injector Rebuild Kit

Now, if you want just different sized orifices, there lots of them around. Here is just a quick google search

metering tips

A lot of people keep an air can and blow the injector out, cause the ball will stick sometimes. Just keep a few injectors on the truck, they are known to go bad often. I keep 3 on the rig and I am just a part timer. Make sure to always rinse your line out with water to extend the life of the injector and other parts.

On a side note, there is a tinkering fella on this forum who claims to have the greatest injector of all times @dperez

Thanks for responding, I don’t post much but I’m all caught up on everything you’ve mentioned, (from general maintenance, metering tips, rebuild kits, to dperez’s injector).

I have rebuild kits but they do not address the orifice which also gets worn.

The metal injectors have a metal orifice that can be easily removed with an Allen key. It’s not necessarily about saving money, it’s more convenient to swap out a worn orifice than remove/reattach fittings on injectors, or have fittings pre-installed on multiple injectors (which I have as well).

This is a “consumable” and a replaceable part that degrades. It seems it should be available for purchase, but finding it has proved tricky so far..

What size were you needing/wanting?

I saw these on your site but wasn’t sure how the size converted or if they were compatible with the GP hi-draws. I’d get a few of whichever is equal to 1.8, 2.1, 2.3.

What’s the conversion or replacement for each?

1.8 = 0.070?

2.1 = 0.083?

2.3 = 0.090?

also while I’ve got you here.. it looks like the bleach filter you’ve got is graduated to fit a few id’s. 1/4-3/4”?

Yes, the will work perfectly. The filter is 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”. Your conversions are bang on. I have .093” also its just not listed. I work with imperial because ‘Merica :grin:

Right on, thanks.

Looks like there isn’t an option for all sizes on their own (only available in kits). Can I place an order and get 3 of each size individually? I can just select 9 from the dropdown quantity.

Refresh the site, I put them back in stock. Let me know if you don’t see something.

Kleen-Rite carries them in a variety of sizes. They retail for about $7, but are almost always on sale for around $3 each. If I remember, I usually add a couple to my cart when ordering something else, since their shipping isn’t always the most economical.

OK. I didn’t know your history/experience. The only other slight change I might make for you is to make your injector a quick connect if you continue to use the GP high draw.

One of the first pieces of advice I got on this forum was to make all your backups ready to use on your trailer. This way when something goes wrong it is a quicker fix. When I get home I can take off the QCs on the old one and put them on a backup if they are still good.

Nice, found them and bookmarked for future use. Slightly less than @dperez however he held my hand and deserves the biz imo. :flexed_biceps:t3:

Thanks team, I’m a regular visitor to the site and will try to chime in more often. Building out a trailer right now, those threads are usually fun to peruse..

Every time one of my injectors quit, it ends up being the rubber seal where the ball sits, or the spring gets weak or breaks

So I’ve got PW gadgets downstream injector. I have had the same one for coming up on 3 seasons. Love it. Have some spares in the repair bin collecting dust.
