What’s a good letter to send out, to introducing yourself to a company. Is there a right or wrong way it should look ??? Thank you all for your help

Thanks

One grammatically correct is a good starting point.

In what form? Email, mailer, paper letter?

I don’t own a company, but if I did, I’d want the pertinent info up front from you.

I throw away any envelope that is addressed to me from a company/person i don’t know…but i do open any envelopes that have a HAND written address to me.

Postcards might also be effective, but you have to think that the secretaries are opening the mail and I doubt they are passing on the junk mail.

If you address it to “Current Owner” you will be sunk. Suggest for the really big projects you get the persons name you will be sending it to. Also, realize that the CEO may not be the best way to go, some of them make all the decisions and some have people for that. You may want to call and ask specifically who handles pressure washing for that location.

It should be on company letterhead. If you want to really wow them use card stock, not the normal paper. Tell them why they needs you, maybe include pictures if you can of a bad downspout location, a moldy sidewalk…etc.

Yeah sounds good CaCo will use advice…but DoubleH, I was referring to, what type of letter should I give the project management company’s. I am new to power washing. And I would love to land a contract. But i am looking for help, on how should my letter look to introduce my self and company.

Is there a such thing that your letter is to long or to short.

What’s makes a project management company say, hey let’s give them a shot

I’d guess being a reputable company. Ever consider introducing yourself in person if possible? Explain what you can do for them and have a brochure or a business card in hand at the least. JMO. I am in no way an expert on this.

Ya typically it’s in person or via email

But you could email them something along these lines:

Hi Mr. Chditehjhf,

This is Udjsvt from Pfaybjr Services, we provide Power Washing services for both commercial and residential sectors.
We specialise in building, concrete and roof cleaning. We have General liability, Commercial Vehicle, and Workmen’s Comp insurance, and can provide our W9 upon request.

I noticed the building on 3465 Fsrgj Street needs some attention, attached is a quote for a few services we can provide.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Udjsvt Tahjgdf
Pfaybjr Services LLC.
(555) 555 - 5555
Udjsvt@PfaybjrServices.com
P.O.Box 00000, Ksuhdh, Kz 99999

The end.

I prefer to communicate via email because then there is written proof of everything, also gives them time to respond at their convenience.

Also make sure you are registered with your city and state, have those insurances and get your EIN and W9. Open a business bank account with the ein.

Have your email address link to your website and not Aol or w.e.

You’ll go through a few dozen free quotes to land a job, so don’t get excited or discouraged, just keep trucking.

Whats a great company to go with thats inexpensive to have, open a website for me ???

I’ll most definitely keep trucking. It’s always best to keep pushing.

Depends on what’s inexpensive to you, no idea if you’re a trust fund kid or living out of your car.

Check out Wix.com or squarespace.com they have like 20/mo plans. You edit the site yourself.

Also i wanted to mention that you don’t have to include an estimate in every email, instead tell them you can provide a free quote. Then if they say only for Windows, you also include a quote to wash the sidewalks, drive thru, building, dumpster pad, etc.

Not sure how long you’ve been on this forum but i suggest you read as much you can every day, check out the categories to pick topics that fit your questions. Read before buying anything also.
