Let's talk about Non-Ionic Surfactant (Alaska logistics and shipping woes)

I totally get it. And I will try that if this works out for me. I would have ordered the 80oz bag but they said on the phone it was available on amazon but apparently only the 16oz bag so….will see how it does!

Oh man… I feel like I’ve hyped it up a lot, I hope it works out for you as well as it has for me!

If it doesn’t you will RUE THE DAY :face_with_tongue: :face_with_tongue: :face_with_tongue:

I tried MM, to compare with Elemonator. I bought it off of Amazon ( Amazon.com: NeutraPods Mango Mauler Hyper-Concentrated Exterior Cleaning Surfactant : Industrial & Scientific )

I used/mixed it according to the instructions and it just didn’t seem to work for me. Batch Mixed it a little richer- same result. No masking, don’t seem to improve cling or soap up. Maybe issues was on my end, as usual

@Dallsheep its just a cost of doing business in Alaska. Don’t sweat it too much. Order the exact surfactant you need and pay the shipping costs and pass the cost onto the customer. This is literally how we do business anywhere, the cost of chems gets passed directly to the customer and our pricing is adjusted so we are still fairly compensated.

I like to say “it’s not rocket surgery” :joy:

1/2 ounce for 4 gallons is a pretty big change, and there would be a cost savings. Thanks. Maybe I’ll check it out after I work all the bugs out of my system. When it rains it pours.

@Dirtyboy I know you’re discussing the mango mauler with @OhioFloMo but fwiw this is about the ratio I use in my house wash mix tank with elemonator - you don’t need much surfactant at all for house washing (zero is fine too). A very small amount works just as well as using more and makes rinsing faster too.

I use the grumpy guys method of mixing soap currently. I do a glug glug, and if I fill up my leg tank i might go glug glug glug. I’ve measured it out many times, but a quick glug glug works. I won’t get into the whole surfactant is required debate on the forum again. Surfactant does many things other than clean, lowering surface tension is one of them. I like the bubbles.

In the end everyone will do what they please. I’m thinking about hanging it up after this year, maybe one more. Maybe it is time to give up the soft retirement and go hard retirement. Can’t say that I haven’t enjoyed some summer down time for a change.
