Last hurrah...help finding this 15mm ceramic piston

Hi guys,

Scoured the internet high and low to find this piston, waiting to rebuild my pump with it. Can’t find it. Before saying just buy a new pump…well that would be easy, but this pump has an extended crank/dual shaft/PTO drive on the end of it that drives accessories on my machine that would be hard to change out. Not looking to spend a couple thousand on a replacement high end pump either, this is just for my home use.

I don’t know the pump model…a Chinese replica mounted on my hot water machine. Any help would be appreciated…if anyone has some spare ones sitting in the back of their store room or something they could measure, any help would be appreciated.

I bought another 15mm piston that was similar looking online just to see, but unfortunately it’s not the same length, nor is the pin diameter the same. If it comes down to it in the worst case, I will machine it to make it the same.

Have you tried calling a local pressure washing supply store? The one closest to me is 45 minutes away and offers a pump rebuilding service. I have little doubt they would know how to find this if I needed it.

I am going to try that tomorrow. They have a sticker on the front of my machine. The guy I bought it from also said he couldn’t find it anywhere, and I’m guess his first move would have been to call them, so I doubt they have a source for them anymore…guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Ended up having it machined down to match the others…cost me $150. Pump is back together, crossing my fingers. Will test tomorrow.

Fyi, Looks like a comet pump.
