I thought about a k7 on the landa but decided to stay with the factory one for now
Iām gonna say that it was to much teff tape. When I took both fittings off there was over a yard of it all bunched up,probably over stressed the brass. But still. There built by PP in Florida or PP in California. QC these days stink ,no matter what you buy, unless youāre fortunate enough to have a small outfit that builds Private label in house machines like @Innocentbystander does. Even then, there machines that we beat to death day in and day out at high rpm. You gotta just learn how to work on them yourself when they break ,and have at least two of everything for each machine, and I donāt care what the wife says, A Man cannot possibly have enough tools and gadgets. Pw shop around here charges $85 an hour. Heck with that. Lol
I have a pretty decent grasp on small engine repair as well as rebuilding pressure pumps so Iām good on that side. Any reason to buy more tools is a good one. Excited and nervous jumping into a new business but you guys have all been amazingly helpful. Thank you.
That sucks I havenāt had a minutes trouble out of mine. To be honest Iām thinking about buying another one for the new truck. I did get the cat pump on mine. Maybe I just got lucky. I do know mi e came from Florida. @Hotshot do you know where yours came from
Ahh ,no big man. I gotta a lot of spare parts. Up and running in 20 minutes. If that is all that happens were golden. The place where I bought it had me a new unloader and fittings within 2 days UPS. I live so far away from every where I canāt wait on parts or drive 5 hrs round trip to obtain any, I had a orange spring unloader and extra fittings setting in the tool box. Awful impressed with the Landa place I bought it from though, they never even ask questions, I just took pics @Firefighter4hire. And it came outta Florida as well
Well if you got 75 hours on it good thing is it has paid for itself. I have been running the heck out of mine I do have to admit I did blow the stupid Honda fuse definitely going to come up with a way to relocate that thing. Has anyone tried that yet or have a creative solution. Iām going to make a harness to extend the wires and put it in itās own box this winter thatās for sure unless someone else has a creative solution
Innocentbystander did
Thatās what I did. Just make a six inch pigtail, stuck it in a zip lock bag and duct tape it. Lot easier to change it.
Red neck engineering. Love it !
Thatās what I was thinking Iām going to put mine in a little box just cause I got some OCD about how the Tank looks. I bet you could sell a few 1000 of them if we could come up with something thatās plug and play
The harder it is for others, the easier for those that know
Iām going to steal that line
If you really think youāre going to be running 300ā feet of hose, just remember youāre losing 300psi per hundred feet of hose., A 3000 psi machine even with 200ā youāre down to 2400 and if youāre running thru a heater then you lose about another 150 psi. If youāre going after commercial concrete you need at least a 3500psi machine. My PP puts that out all day long. In fact, itās rated at 3600 and I actually get 3550. With 200ā of hose Iām at 2900 and running thru heater Iām at 2750 with 200ā of hose.
Thanks Racer. Do you feel like the 2750 psi is sufficient for flatwork?
Another question for all the Landa owners. The quote that I received had a built in āQuarterly Maintenance 25 Point Checklistā of $190 each for a total of $760. The salesman said he was throwing that in so had a debit and then an instant credit on the quote. Should I waive that and try to get him to reduce the price by $760? Is that just a BS upscale?
You gotta weigh both options, gpm and psi. Rick has the psi, but gives up gpm to get it. Probably not much, and it obviously works for him
Iām running 200 feet of hose the landa is rated at 3000 psi with 2502.5 tips Iām running 2800 psi and with 3ās Iām at 2500 psi. 2500 psi does a good job for me
yes, it works fine
If Rick is running it, itās right as it can be.
What do you guys think on the maintenance charge?
