Got a 20foot 225lb Werner I use the most. That works most of the time if I need a ladder. Also have a 28 that I dread when I have to use but that’s rare.
That 12 footer has come out 1 times in 2 years for me… but it is a handy tool for the trade.
I have thrown the extension ladder in the back for gutters as needed… but not often as i hate doing gutters and the $1 per foot and only with house washes normally deters ppl.
I use a 16’, 24’ and 7’ step ladder every day. The 28’ rarely comes off the van but when you need it…you need it.
All my extensions have Xtenda-Leg levelers, can’t do my job without them. Unfortunately they add about 10#.
24’ Werner aluminum blue tip with adjustable legs and Werner 17’ multi ladder. I also hate carrying the 24’. I’ve threatened to build something like this, at least maybe conserve some energy for getting the ladder vertical on the house.
For certain homes $1 seems like a bargain. I’ve spent 5 hours on 300lf on the worst one. Others with the same linear footage can take 30 minutes. It’s by far the most variable service I deal with. Least favorite as well.
Window cleaning aluminum sectional ladder!! Best ladder ever! But they are quite expensive

Also get this automatic ladder leveler that can be installed on most ladders

I use my 8’ step ladder a lot to get to the top of 3 story house on a windy day and to get siding you can’t see because a roofline might be in the way. It was a 6’ but I found the 8’ more useful.
That automatic leveler is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting. I wouldn’t trust those tiny pads but looks slick.
They come with larger swivel pads with teeth as well
That leveler is sweet. As @dcbrock said the levelers that come on the werners add a bunch of weight. I have on my 28 and between those and my stabilizer that sucker is a bear to handle by yourself.
We carry a gorilla mpx22 that is similar to the little giant. It’s a great ladder and gets used about 3-4 times a week for gutter cleanings. My employees say it’s heavy but I don’t think it’s heavy at all. It has a lot of flex to it when fully opened. It stores on the trailer or bed of truck nicely.
We also have a Warner extension 32 ft ladder that gets used about once a week. It’s heavy and hard to manage when extended but very sturdy!
Between those two ladders, we have yet to cancel a residential job because of reach capabilities.
We use trampolines and parachutes. Works very well.
Just kidding. We use fiberglass 28 ft and 32ft aluminum and i have 2 gorrilla type ladders by werner.
