Ladder leveling systems or pieces/equipment/doodads

Sorry I brought it up. I saw the pictures on the forum and thought you got it back. I apologize if I brought up any bad feelings.

I too believe his PTSD was taking him for a ride, he was going to the VA I thought. He just went dark one day after talking to him.

Made me chuckle. Rarely does a day go by where we do not use a ladder. 24, 32, 40 ft…

But we do a lot of gutter cleaning.

I typed that from reading the beginning of the thread, about ladders, before reading the rest.

I see now that where my response landed in the thread makes me look like a psychopath.

Do you get on the roofs or clean from the ladder?

Mostly from the roof, and if there’s nothing to tie off to then i’ll always go myself. I won’t let my guys on the roof not tied off. But most gutter cleaning jobs can be done in 10-20 minutes and my minimum is near 200$. We can clean a lot of gutters in a day.

When i read here that a lot of guys don’t clean gutters it makes me scratch my head.

Are you blowing them out with a blower?
And do you require a house wash with it?

Yes, we’ve cleaned thousands of gutters over the years and i’ve tried everything and every possible way of doing them. We ended up using leaf blowers. We empty them by hand if the blower would be too messy. But 9/10 is blower, when you do a lot of them and you get experienced you can do them fast without making a mess. We do clean up when needed.

I don’t require the house washed.

Also we end up with repeat customers and their neighbors. So we end up with streets where we go and clean gutters for 5-10 neighbors every year.

I am not encouraging anybody to go on roofs not tied off. And even by hand from a ladder, if done right, is fast.
