Ladder height for gutter cleaning?

Will a 24’ extension ladder be enough? Thanks!

For anything under 24’ feet it’s gonna work out great!

I have 16, 28 and 40 n the trucks. 28 is much more useful than a 24

Aluminum or fiberglass?

Aluminum. Can’t carry 40 ft fiberglass by yourself. Too heavy, splinters, not man enough

I was gonna say… my 32’ fiberglass is nearly unmanageable. It’s a real struggle.

Love the light weight of aluminum over fiberglass. I bought a fiberglass Little Giant ladder for IT work. Sold it 2 weeks later! :fearful:

Be careful with little giants. There’s a huge recall on those death traps.

28 will get you most two story homes safely

I know… it’s silly. I was just messin’ with @Sasquatch though.

I have a Gorrilla ladder, I like it but the little giant comment made me nervous a bit

I have a Werner version of Little Giant now. It’s heavy too but not as be as the fiberglass version. Mostly I use aluminum stepladders.

I don’t know how you guys are throwing up 40ft ladders I tried it once and spent the entire next day laying on my living room floor. I can handle my 32 without a problem. Anything I can’t reach with that there paying for a lift or finding someone else . I’m not interested laying on the floor again

A lot depends on the rating of the ladder, not just the height. The Werner blue tipped 40 is a beast and typically requires two people, but even then it’s not very safe or easy to handle. The 36 ft aluminum Werner ladder with green ends is not that bad actually and can still reach 3rd story roofs or 4th story windows typically
