@Kentucky1234 @dcbrock
You guys ok? It’s either freezing or raining up here so I am stuck in the house doing nothing (well posting here). I was looking at the news and it makes it appear that the state is just about underwater (exaggeration). Real news please, how bad is it? Just the normal lowlands flooding or is it worse than that?
It’s funny, because when I went south this winter if anything the news drastically underreported the damage in North Carolina. I felt so bad for those people. I saw a complete valley basically destroyed.
Hey….yeah it’s been bad in the surrounding areas, where I’m at in Lexington, we’re fine. Some localized flooding of streets, etc. but some cities around us are getting hammered by the Kentucky River and other smaller waterways. Kentucky has had a lot of flooding the last couple of years. Not sure about @dcbrock, he’s in Louisville next to the Ohio River. Thanks for checking in, hopefully you can start washing soon. Had to cancel some this week because of these storms and freezing temperatures next two days. Weather is crazy at the moment.

Glad to hear you are ok. This time of year is always problematic, as it is either freezing or raining. April showers bring mayflowers and mayflowers bring pilgrims. Hope things stay ok for you, glad to hear you aren’t underwater.

Louisville downtown along the waterfront and River Road is under water, it happens on a regular basis but this is extreme. I’m quite a ways from all that but…
The ‘night of tornadoes’ was scary. I was up at 2 am with sirens going off watching a very animated TV meteorologist going on about some sudden straight line winds headed for my house. Somehow it managed to go around us but next thing I know he’s yelling “TORNADO ON THE GROUND” right past my neighborhood.
They just completed the survey and determined it was an EF-3 145mph and tore up an industrial district. It was the first EF-3 to hit Louisville since 1996.
Glad you’re OK Donny, Frankfort looks like a mess though.

Yeah Frankfort under water….Buffalo Trace is under water big time, might find some bourbon bottles floating
. We had a ef3 hit our neighborhood and tore our house up 21 years ago. Totaled everything we owned……huge insurance claim, was out of the house for 9 months. What an inconvenience that was……but insurance took care of everything, can’t complain. It was a scary 5-7 minutes at 10:00 pm at nite….crazy. Glad you’re safe though….

Glad you are ok and thank you for the perspective. I was sitting here pissed off because I’m looking at flurries through the window. High of 33 today, wind chill making it feel about 6.

Im supposed to go on a tour there in three weeks
Yeah it’s under water big time….pretty sure it will be awhile before they start their tours back up. It’s the worst flooding there in the past 200 years…sorry. There’s a ton of other distilleries here though. We really like Bardstown Bourbon. But like I said there’s distilleries everywhere.
