Just starting

I knew what you meant, but since I use low pressure 99% of the time I never need to go lower. Rarely ever change tips o SC. Wouldn’t make any difference. It’s based on flow.

if you noticed a 601 area code the other day that was me I would love to talk to you sometime.

Text me sometime. I’ll call back when I can. Don’t feel bad, I’ve got about 20 customers in past 2 weeks that I haven’t called back. It’s frigging nuts right now. I’ve had 3 days off in 11 weeks counting weekends.

that’s a good problem to have

I guess better than other, but I’m trying to slow down. Know it’s going to one of these days, so just storing as many acorns as possible.

rest when you can, I’m proud for you. I am looking forward to getting back at it. How far are you from Columbia. I was at Ft Jackson a couple of times. I really like that area

100 miles.

not to far. Have a good night

Schertz,
havent been on in a while, but you helped me out a couple times. Iam insured now, thankyou, and looking to upgrade equipment. Price is still an issue looking to spend around 800.00 found this on amazon, your thoughts?

Briggs & Stratton Gas Pressure Washer 4000 PSI 4.0 GPM with Triplex Pump, 5 Nozzles, 50’ High-Pressure Hose & Detergent Injection 799.00

or this one for 899.00, I like honda anything SIMPSON 4200-PSI 4-GPM Water Gas Pressure Washer

the links didn’t show. the first one lost me at briggs and stratton.

hahahah, sorry about that. the second one I found at Loews, just copied and pasted the brand and GPM. What do you think for that. the Simpson 4200 PSI 4 GPM with honda motor for 899.00

Well I can tell you right now its not 4GPM and 4200 psi…

The math doesn’t work out as it would need a 15.27 HP (gx390 is 11.7) motor to push those numbers. You could tip it to push 4200psi but would be bypassing water. or over tip it and be at around 3k psi and 4gpm

Now 4gpm @3k psi will clean everything and more than you will ever need. I run an 8gpm at 2700 psi and never do I wish I had more psi.

I had considered buying one of those to have as a cheap backup but in reality I could just build my own with gear drive pump for close to the money and it would be an udor pump.

If you can get credit, I would recommend getting a quality unit or building one like @SchertzServicesLLC did.

I’ve been quite happy with my 5.6@2500 pressure pro. It’s a very popular machine for housewashing.

Keep your cash on hand for shopping craigslist for a used trailer, water tank(s), and whatever else you need for a basic rig.

Use credit to get the machine, hoses, reels, and odds and ends. $2k on a card could be paid off in a couple weeks or month of power washing, even if you have some other bills to pay.

And for the record, I am very anti-consumer-credit. But business is different. I pay cash whenever I can, but if credit enables me to take the next step in growing the business, then I’m all for it.

Iam not going to build one, def looking to purchase. so this is a cheap PW for 899.00? without building one, any recco’s

I mean for less than a grand you are looking at high end consumer grade at best. stick with honda motor and be prepared to replace the pump in a year or less. put back $10 from every job you do into a “pump fund”

When that motor fails pull the pump off and bold a gear drive udor to it.

or send me $2,499 and I will build you one like mine that you can come pick up lol

Honda GX390 13HP-Portable-AR Pump-4.0GPM-4300PSI, thankyou, I also found this one on water cannon website, this goes for 1,048 with a 3 yr warranty ever buy off this site.

how are you doing the links? if you just copy and paste the site address you are on it will pop up better.

http://www.watercannon.com/p-3161-honda-gx390-13hp-portable-ar-pump-40gpm-4300psi.aspx

Again it won’t put out the advertised PSI and the GPM at the same time. Scientifically impossible.

you take psi (4300) times gpm (4) = 17,200

then you take that number and divide by 1,100

=15.636 and that is the horsepower needed to run a pump that is 4300psi @4GPM

With that combo you will get one or the other but never both at the same time.

The pump is junk on that unit. It’s a throw away pump that you may get a year out of. But the Honda will last forever. When the pump goes have a replacement lined up.

Any unit you find for less than a couple grand will very likely have a “cheap” pump and good motor. But never both.
