Jrod question

I’m getting conflicting information about jrod use.

It was just pointed out to me NOT to use the higher pressure nozzles on the jrod when rinsing, but the reason I went with downstreaming is not having to hike back to the trailer and pull the hose out if the chem bucket.

I was so excited to ditch the Xjet M5 with the hose, but now It seems I’m using the jrod wrong?

The tips installed for me are 0040, 2540, 0010 and 2510. I only use the 0010 for the really high stuff for rinsing but apparently it should be thrown in the trash?

Spend $65 and make a remote. I’ve posted the needed parts list multiple times.

I have a 3 way poly ball valve (pressuretek sells them) in-line to my ds injector. Soap about 2-3 sides, at which point I’m usually a 3 second walk to my van, then switch valve to water. Rinse those sides, flip it back to soap, then repeat the process for the last side or 2. Never use high pressure to rinse. I have had several clients who went with me to wash their house, because the last guy cracked their big bay windows with high pressure. Doesn’t take a huge amount of pressure to do that on 15 year old large pane windows. Another thing to consider, the less pressure you wash with, the less stress your equipment is under, and less fuel is burned as well. I’ll be honest, I rinsed with the high rinse nozzles when I first started using a jrod, cause it came with them, but switched to rinsing with soap nozzles instead after some reading. To me, it seems much more efficient to do so anyways, especially now that I run 8gpm. Lower pressure means more gpm flowing out the gun, especially with smaller hp machines.

Would that remote or three way ball valve work with my setup?

Zip tie the 3 way to your buffer tank. One line goes into the buffer (just drill a hole smaller than the outside diameter of your injector line and shove it in) the opposite line to your chem tank, then the bottom line to your injector.

Gotta have a 12v source for remote. I don’t even see a working injector in the pic. I know you don’t want to hear it but, you really need a good machine and some help setting up your equipment. If you have some health issues you don’t need to be pulling equipment in and out, rolling hose by hand and wasting time with minimal water spraying.

It’s an older pic before I bought the GP injector.

You’re probably right about doing all this, my back is being worked on though so I’m getting a little better. The VA really hasn’t helped much.

I would love to get something fully plumbed at some point, really sucks having to worry about the pump burning up if I don’t hit the trigger. And yes, hose rolling sucks!

I absolutely do require the enclosed small trailer though, my driveway is short and thefts are rampant.

5x8 is enough to work with for now. Send a picture of the inside when you have time and let us help you with a layout that works. It’ll be a lot easier on you physically once it’s all set up for you. If you are working daily, 2 hose reels will not set you back that much. You don’t have to get top of the line to start out with.

You can get some large locking RV doors for your enclosed trailer so you can mount everything inside

Put your injector behind your gun, add 2 ft of 1/4 line to the injector and carry a gallon jug of mix. That should be enough to soap one side of an average size house. Set out 4 jugs before you start. Get done soaping , drop the jug and you’re instantly rinsing without walking back to trailer

That message was for @dcbrock because he was a vet. You get nothing. I never trust anyone whose parents couldn’t think of a name with more than three letters in it for them.
Humor. That was humor.

Now keep in mind I’m not made of money and can’t afford $300 hose reels, 300’ of hose and a $1500 new machine yet. I’m fully open to suggestions on my current setup however, I recognize it’s a mess.

You don’t need a $300 reel. Any cheap reel is better than rolling up hose on the ground! Lol

Believe it or not William, I took that surface cleaner advice from you a few months ago.

Put away $50 a week until you get 800 bucks for some plumbing and reels. The day you do is the day you’ll be pissed it took you this long.
