Hey guys so I got a call from someone today who wants a quote on a bunch of services. House wash, roof wash, gutter cleaning and deck cleaning. I was just wondering what you guys do in scenarios like this. When you quote do you just list all services they requested and just give them one big price or do you break the quote into itemized services with prices?
If you’re using a software, create a line item for each services. Then they can pick and choose which they’d like.
Yea line item like @mwpws said.
There’s definitely better proposal tools but I use QBO. Easy estimates and one click to turn it into an invoice when time comes.
Itemize always! For so many reasons I cant even begin to explain
I itemize my quote and the en explain what each type of cleaning entails…something like as follows:
*The House Wash would include the cleaning of all house siding, front entry/porch area, soffit vents and all trim work around windows, doors, and roof line. *
*The Driveway Wash would include the concrete leading from the road up to the garage door of the home as well as the short sidewalk leading to the front entry area. *
The Pool Deck Wash would include the flat surface area around the exterior of the pool
Itemize you list of services. Then if you want to add a discount for multiple services. Then add that at the end of a list stating that they have to be done at the same time.Or setup packages Like HW and roof, HW and drive, and have the packages just a little less than the two items by them self.
I use google docs and just type it up. I’m not a full time guy running multiple crews so it works for me. I cut and paste some standard boilerplate. I always seperate out my deck work from my house work, so they can say deck price too high but wash my house.
