Issue with re mounting PW :/

No, whips direct to the PW, the 12v pump, and the buffer tank. Pressure/chem hoses run in 2 lengths. Pull off 1 segment or both, then connect to the whip. We don’t like running through the reel for a variety of reasons, different for each component.

Oh I see what you mean basically your reels are for storing the hose ?
Essentially figure out how much you need and then connect directly to whip. Makes sense bypass sh thru reel

Yeah, we run 2 segments for the SH hose on the 12v with banjo cam couplers, the pressure hose is split into 2 lengths, and the garden hose 2 lengths as well (which allows double fill hookup if really needed, which is the only time we run fluid through a reel). Most of the time they fill the DS jug with a whip anyway on housewashing.

Heard that I haven’t used those cam coupler locks yet they look interesting tho! If it ends up where I return this hose and do go with the better choice I will run something similar. I’ve seen a video where a guy I can’t remember who ran it basically like that would pull hose d/c and pop it directly into his injector bypass / whip that sits next to the reel. If i end up keeping this GP ill probably run thru the reel as it will be upgraded probably through the year or at least the replacement will be waiting for me in the garage!! Thanks
Yeah I had no swivels on hose or ball valve setup while getting acquainted with my equipment. Before 1st job I got hose with swivel and added one to ball valve as well and now I will never not have , it makes an insane difference !!

Running thru the reel is so much more effecient, quicker, easier etc.

No wonder you’re overhead is so high, losing time on every job, :grinning:

definitely is, but the SH eats the innards, creates too many 90s in the pressure…some guys use it on the supply reel. The guys are happy we spring for 12v reels

It does eat the innards, but they will still last 10 years or so. I guess it depends on what you clean. Nothing we clean is always the same distance from the truck. We might need 250 ft for a building, or 10ft for a mail box post. The 25 psi you lose out of the super swivel and manifold is worth it for the fire the headache/work load it takes from the guys.

May need to add this to my post-season questions list for the guys before we start getting it together for the spring…

I’m go with it like this for time being still gotta mount the reel and get garden hose reel put up but all my chemicals can fit under the table so I think it’ll work for now !! Next weekend landlord wants me to do the other 2 houses he owns in subdivision:) and goong to meet owner of la Quinta weekend after for a fence job so I’ll get to see how this works out!!!
Thanks for all the input guys I’m sure I’ll have more questions soon enough haha

If you haven’t experimented with them yet, see what your footprint will look like with moving the handles on the washer. Mine had a similar handle set up - two bars that were held on by two plastic wing knobs. Remove the knobs, remove one of the handle bars and play with flipping them around. Or remove both bars. That way you can keep the cart base with wheels, but free up some space.

yeah that pic was still early on messing around haha I removed those about 30 mins after the pic haha.
Thanks !!

That pump is going to crack at the output in a few weeks, or sooner. That’s a ton of weight hanging off the pump. Get an unloader block, or at the least, get rid of that injector bypass.

Good to know I was wondering how I could hold that up to relieve some of the weight lol .
I tried unscrewing my female coupler at the pump but when it came out it had spring n what not that goes to the built in injector. It shouldn’t be a problem if I remove that since I’m not using the built in one ?
Also the unloader bracket it goes end of pump and then QC on end bracket then hose?..

I have to say it, I can’t keep it inside of me any longer. That wooden rack is a complete waste of time on a trailer that big. Make a fabricators day and throw a few bucks at him, you’ll both benefit.

Put that bypass into your swivel on your reel. Be easier to get to and won’t be hanging off pump.

Yeah that makes good sense lmao thanks

If you’re going to stick with the wood skid, get rid of the 2x4’s and get 4x4’s. I used them to mount my hose reels several years ago and they still work like a champ and have never moved. I did a post on how I did it several yrs ago I think it was titled Hose Reel mounting or something to that effect. I drilled all the way through the 4x4’s and used all thread from top to bottom through the trailer deck, used large fender washers with nylanuts on the bottom. One reel has 200’ of Flexzilla and the other has 300’ of soft wash hose and both are electric so lots of weight but no problems. Good luck.

To save the rest of you the time…

So that was 4 years ago, since that photo I added the 18" reel for soft washing and mounted one overhead too. My water supply and soft wash are plumbed through the reels but the PW reel is just a storage reel. I carry 500’ on it and have two machines.
