They don’t sell Oxalic as wood brightener for nothing, lol. I think if anything, you maybe let the ox sit too long. About 30 seconds is all it takes. Spray on - rinse off.
But as someone said, been sitting a year, probably wouldn’t hurt to hit it again unless maybe they’re going with a driftwood grey stain and they’re good to go.
If you read it quickly, it seems like it’s a week later from when he did the job. But he’s saying the pic was just taken a week ago…which is one year after he did the job.
Truer words were never spoken. Pressure washed mildew is so fine it can collect in the smallest cracks and crevices. So thorough rinsing makes a great difference. For three years I’ve done a fast food restaurant with concrete that was laid in the 1970’s. My gosh…if I don’t rinse thoroughly the tell tale signs are right back a week later. Rinse, rinse and rinse again!
Yeah I’m a chronic over rinser but I feel like the quality of my end product is exceptional because I rinse well. I like to hit areas really well and then let them run and hit them again with a good final rinse after soap and dirt has time to drain a bit. Too many guys have the good enough approach hence why I rinse my truck more after going to the car wash and then leaf blow it dry haha.
