Is this a good clean?

Hey guys I’ve upgraded a tad on my pressure washer. Not quite what your expectations are but it’s a start. Anyway this is my first drive way. I used my 3000 psi ryobi washer and a 15" surface cleaner. The chem I used was Zep concrete cleaner/degreaser.

The pictures look like you did a great job. I know you will probably hear “get better equipment and it will go faster, be better…” and that can be true. But sometimes the additional care and effort taken can make up for equipment that may lack a little. Good job.

Congrats, looks good. Now that it is behind you, what are your thoughts or observations on your experience?

Nice work! I hope you did what Alex Lacey said and charged a professional price…you sure did a professional job!

Talk to Bob or Jeff at Pressure Tek…I looked at those Zep chems (just to compare) and they will cost you more in the long run, plus Bob and Jeff are super helpful.

I found that it took longer than I quoted. I quote by assessing how long it might take me. Since I’ve not done it a lot I figure I should add an hour to my estimated time. My rate as an amateur is $65 per hour.

Another thing was draining water did not have anywhere to go. Not sure how to remedy this so I used my shop vac to get the excess water out of the way.

She was very happy with the job and left a 5 star rating on my Facebook. I have much to learn.

I will do that, I’ve found that it might be better to purchase a down steam adapter and dilute my solution. So better chemicals should go further.

Looks good to me. Also good that the customer is happy as well.

Good luck!

Good job! Over time you’ll learn to spot areas that are’nt going to drain well. We normally clean the poorly draining area first and work away from there. After you’re done and you’re rinsing the job, you can angle your gun and use the right tip to basically “throw” the standing water several feet into the yard or wherever you want to take it.
