Is a 7gpm 12v pump too much for a 1/2 in proportioner?

I was given a 7gpm fatboy and have already built a 1/2 proportioner with the plan to get 5.5gpm pump

you’ll be fine… we have ran a few set ups exactly like that with no issues

I used 5.5 & 7gpm 12v pump with a 1/2" proportioner for a long while with no problems. Even though, I now have 3/4" proportioner for my 12v pump & like it better. Just feel like it’s a little better flow.
