Is 13 hp enough

I have been shopping around for a pressire washer. Planning to add it to my cleaning business. I have had a 2.8 gpm 3000 psi home depot special for years, since it is a Honda. In the spring I am getting ready to do a lot more pressire washing. I already jave a truck and a 6 x 10 enclosed trailer, so thought I eould just set up in this.
There is an 8 gpm 2500 psi I saw on Pressire Washer Products. It has a Honda gx 390 13 hp motor
Question: Is 13 hp enough for an 8 gpm 2500 psi machine. The machine sells for $1489.00 new

Ima say no just from what I’ve read.

@buzz depends what you are washing. It would be an awesome house wash combo with the gpm. forget about doing concrete. That machine will no way put out 2500psi on a gx390 at 8gpm Slap the vendor with a wet fish.

Gx390 is only 11.7 hp. To get 8@2500 you need 18 hp. There are a lot more honest vendors out there than the company you mentioned

Welcome. (Psi)x(gpm) /1100=hp required. 8x2500=20,000. 20,000/1100=18.18hp required.

Per usual, IBS steering you in the right direction

…no. Don’t pinch pennies when you’re invoicing dollars. Get a real machine.
