Introduction and a question I cannot find

Hello Gents,

First my intro, I live in the Midwest on the border of Illinois and Wisco, Ive been self employed for over a decade, currently an independent insurance adjuster, I make good money but im starting to have knee issues from climbing steep roofs day in and day out, plus getting a little older so want something closer to the ground and less dangerous, not a spring chicken anymore lol.

Ive been lurking here for about two months but just signed up about two days ago so I can track my hours researching. Im spending a few hours a day here and on youtube learning as much as I can. Still have yet to wash my first house or even buy a commercial washer but planning on dropping about $10k and building a custom trailer this winter plus marketing and such since I have a small fab shop and three months off in the winter.

Enough about me, if anyone wants to know any more just ask but the gist is im planning on going all-in with this business come next spring, figure I have 8 months to learn before going public; on to my question which I couldnt find an answer or image of anywhere, and please dont berate me too bad for my read time, i promise its already ten times what it says.

I was down near chicago for work today and two guys in an F350 with a buffer tank, reels and washer in the bed went by me, the trailer they were pulling had something ive never seen or heard of and cant even find an image of, truck wasnt lettered and due to traffic I couldnt get a pic but Ill describe as best I can.

In essence it was a self propelled washer setup, the back looked like a walk behind commercial zero turn mower, big ag tires and all, but up front where a mower deck would normally be was a gas PW with small buffer tank and hose reel. Looked to be all one factory unit and not homebuilt, just wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this? Seems like a novel idea.

Welcome to the forum. As you know there’s a ton of info on here. Might not hurt to start practicing on friends and family member’s homes this year just so you’re completely ready to roll into the season next spring. I know you said you’re building a trailer this winter but you could just throw the washer and buffer in the back of the truck in order to go around and practice for people you know for now. Just a thought.

Did what you see look something like this? Would work great if you did a whole lot of commercial flat work.

Thanks for the reply, I am planning on doing some practice this summer and fall when i have time, the trailer is a necessity though since my truck is set up for ladders and climbing gear right now lol.

As for you pic thats awesome but not at all what I saw, more of a “mower chassis” like this but with a 40gal buffer tank, 4/4 setup and hose reel all mounted out front where the mower deck normally is. I searched for two hours today on google and couldnt find anything like itzero%20turn

Maybe it’s the Swabby 48" Ride On Pressure Cleaner. I love mowing with zero turns so I bet it would be great!
