Used the search function here and all posts are over 4 years old. Looking for insurance to cover pressure washing here in California. Yes I know I will get raped as one quote is 4500 and another is 9000. I am waiting to get the agreement to see what is covered. I called one agent here in Cali and told him what I’d be doing and when his agreement and coverage page came in, it specifically said excluded “roof washing” and never head back from him. Can you guys recommend companies that cover what we do and what you are currently paying?
I use a broker who can shop a bunch of different carriers. We don’t do roofs but my commercial auto, general liability, workers comp and building insurance runs us between $ 24,000 - 25,000 per
year. Some carriers we’ve used are EMC, Auto Owners, Midwest Family Mutual to name a few, always shop your insurance though because they don’t reward you for loyalty, I had them increase my policy by over $ 6,000 in one year with no claims.
We had one company drop us because we said we washed siding, they said the water could get behind the siding and cause black mold, stupid, we’re in Colorado.
There are a couple CA guys on here they could weigh in at some point.
That being said I’ll second the broker route, he found a solid policy for me with Erie. The other so-called PW insurers wouldn’t touch my area.

Thank you sir, May I ask why you had to get environmental insurance? Im only small time residential house washing starting off so Im guessing your a much bigger outfit and needed it?
Do you know what states he covers?
