Injector not drawing like it used to

I have a Honda GX390 and a Cat 4gpm pump. I’m also using the injector bypass kit with a 2.1 injector. I’m using a 5 gallon bucket to mix the SH and Elemonator. I noticed recently that I’m not going through a lot of chemical per job, and I’m also having to spray some areas multiple times. I bought a new inject and there was no change. I did not do the bucket test that is mentioned on here, but I did something similar…

I applied tape on the outside of the bucket and put a line at the water level. I sprayed for 1 minute and measured which was approximately 1 inch lower. I have a second identical pump, so I swapped that out and tried again. Same results. I washed a house Saturday, which took about 2 hours and I did use all of the chemical in the 5 gallon bucket. Are there other things I can check to see if the injector is drawing like it should?

Check to ensure that your siphon tube isn’t collapsing on itself.

Ensure that the open end of the siphoned tube (the end in the bucket) isn’t sucking itself to the bottom or sides of the bucket. Shouldn’t be a problem if you have a weighted strainer and a “dropstick” type set up. I simply had a 12” piece of pvc pipe at the end of mine with the siphon tube run through it and the strainer on the end.

You can always change to a smaller injector with a higher draw rate and that’ll bump your percentage of mix coming out the end of the gun.

Thank you. I have the weighted strainer, so I do not believe it is stuck on the bottom or the sides. By smaller injector, do you mean the 1.8?
