Infinity’s Honda iGX-700, Udor gear drive build

Just don’t go off-road with one. You’ll be coming home with an engine knock and and an early service reminder.

That could definitely happen. However, my truck has a skid plate right there to shield it so it’d have to be a pretty precise impact to get to it. I’ll snap a pic next time I’m under there greasing things and cussing.

500 hours after the break in which is 50 hours. If you do go with Fumoto which I got, it’s this one.

Awesome, thanks for that.

So for the sake of anyone searching this same information: the Udor gear drive pressure pumps use an M14-1.25 thread pattern for the oil drain plug. Which is compatible with either the Fumoto F110N, or the EZ-111 EZ oil drain port.

I’m guessing Udor probably uses the same thread pattern for their drain plugs as many other Italian made pressure washing pumps, as well.

The part number for the Udor oil drain plug is 1603.02 (or 160302). So any pump that calls for that drain plug should fit one of the above mentioned M14-1.25 adapters.

Edit: oh man, these plugs aren’t even close to these sizes… see update below.

Hopefully google doesn’t see this as keyword stuffing and decide it’s an irrelevant result for some other poor sap searching in vain

Btw, @seanktm, do you know if it’s the same threads for the gearbox, as well?

Ooh, mine is on poly drive, so I wouldn’t know about the gear drive.

It’s hard to find parts diagrams for the Udor pressure washer gearboxes. But the 1603.02 plug appears in many diagrams, so I think it’s safe to assume they use the same M14-1.25 plug for all of their gearboxes and pumps.

You’ll never see one on any of my vehicles.

Bingo, black electrical tape will hide any idiot light. But, there’s a better way. Dad showed me on our 1972 LTD. Hold a hot needle with pliers and push thru the plastic dust shield and pop the bulb

Ok: oils. What’s everyone recommend?

  • Pump? I always used 30w non-detergent; whatever I could get at the local Advance Auto (usually Shell). I’m finding online that Udor calls for 40W? Is that correct?

  • Gear drive? 90W gear oil is what I remember reading, but can’t find at the moment. Any particular brand?

  • Motor? I usually used 5w-30 Mobil1 full synth. In the gx390. Manual is recommending 10w-30 for general use. Does it make a difference?

Also curious if anyone knows capacities on the above items. I know the pump takes 40oz, but not sure on the gearbox.

I was hoping it’d be black. That red cover is getting painted lime green, asap. :smirk:

You can’t do that to a Honda, that’s rough man.

It’s mine. I paid a heck of a lot for that thing, and I’ma do with it as I please

I’d have to agree… Lime green on a Honda engine? That’s just wrong.

For the 3024 pump, either one is fine from my research and limited experience.

For GX690 anyway, my factory instruction says I can use 10w30 for dinosaur oil and 5w30 for synthetic. I just get the kirkland synthetic when it’s on sale. $22 for 2.5 gallons.

It’s overkill but I order Amsoil for the pumps. They specifically make oil for pumps. In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t cost all that more. They have gear fluid too.

I use to use oil that Quincy made for theirs pumps but I can no longer find it locally.

I use Honda oil, Pure Guard pump oil from the Irish. I can tell you that most small engines don’t really care what oil you put in them. In the oilfield we ordered motor and pump oil by the barrel. It was the cheapest stuff you could find.

I use Mobile 1 for the engines. When I switched to that years ago I noticed a huge difference in how clean the inside of our vehicle’s engine were. Synthetics definitely make a difference.

Absolutely. My biggest complaint with Mobil1 is it tends to burn off faster than other synthetics. It has, surprisingly, a not-so-great NOACK rating. Or at least used to when I was running it. I’d lose half a quart to a quart between oil changes at 5,000 miles. With newer engines having ridiculous oil capacities that’s not a big deal.

That’s fair enough, just don’t do a @Steve and turn a gx390 into a bmw :face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth:
