No return line. I wish I knew what size it was. IIRC, it’s 1/4 ID, but don’t hold me to that. I’ll see if I can figure it out tomorrow.
I bought:
-Fuel line
-6 gallon marine fuel tank
-gas-tank vent caps, because screw the EPA and their stupid inflating gas-can designs here
-Deep cycle marine battery from o reilly’s or whatnot.
-Appropriate positive and negative cables also from o reilly’s or whatnot.
-Battery box, at o reilly’s.
-Metal base which I had bent up out of… 1/4 plate? At a local machine shop.
-Brass barb fitting for the gas tank to fuel line, which, IIRC, was 1/4 npt x 1/4 barb (IF that is the fuel line ID size.)
It still runs. But I have to keep it pushed with fuel with an electric fuel pump. I washed about 9 houses last year and a bunch of commercial concrete. Most of the concrete was a rented hot water unit though,
I did however park the wash trailer last fall and just forgo any winterizing… haven’t started it yet this season but I bet it’s going to have leaks everywhere!
I’ve been refusing or telling regulars to call back in July-August for washing. We will see in a month or two what needs replaced lol.
I’m really leaning toward the iGX line at this point, either the 700 or the 800. Trying to take my own advice and “buy once, cry once.” Prices have gone up recently, and it’ll be somewhere around $1850 for the motor, plus the muffler for ~$160
I prefer my kubota diesel over my 18 horse gasser. but we run it for 8 to 12 hours straight, The fuel burn is 3/4 gallon an hr while running the heat at 120° plus. The cons are its pricey but they say it’ll run for 20k hrs or more if properly maintained befor rebuild ( fingers crossed). The gasser is 1 gallon of gasoline per hr and add at least a 1/2 gallon of diesel on top of that for the burner.
Yeah, if I was putting those kinds of hours on a machine, I’d be looking at a diesel, for sure.
It’ll take me a long time to get to the point of needing a rebuild at 300 hrs per year… even if I did 500 hours, that’s a good 10 years before a rebuild, if I maintain it well.
I’m bumping this, ‘cause I’m about to put in my sprayerdepot order and need to know if I should be ordering some additional plumbing to open up the flow a bit… sorry for the impatience, I know you’re all busy.
Always? My concern is I’ve introduced a little bit more flow restriction than most prefer to have, with this assembly on my tanks. There’s also a 1” pvc downtube with a street 90 on the back side of each bulkhead.
You really did mean restriction lol. I wouldn’t worry about restriction too much with a 1 inch pipe, they flow well over 30gpm, once your machine is primed it will be sucking water. If in doubt prioritise a bulkhead straight into the machine.
I’ve heard the same rumor, The reasoning behind it was to keep both sides of the intake head cool not more flow,so it be a 1" feed to a Tee then feed the pump on both inlets. IDK
It does. The only issue I’ve had with it, is it got some rust on the battery terminals and has a little trouble starting sometimes. Keep it out of the elements and I’m sure it’ll work great.
I guess you keep a propane tank on the truck? I’m going it to a 100lb tank and feeding it with a 5.5 gpm 12v pump that runs the shower and kitchen sink. Hot shower will be nice at the cabin
