I don’t know what Media Fire is but when I open that it just looks like an advertisement for that app or software or whatever it is.
Sorry, lousy link. If you follow it through, it’s a PDF from Goodyear with load/pressure tables
Ah I see. Yeah, those charts are handy. They won’t do anything for your wear pattern though and that’s where the chalk test comes in. Especially with oversized “off-road” tires like you have.
Got any updated pics ?
Brainstorming how to install this new shelf. Thinking I’ll try and use those seatbelt bolt holes somehow.
(I plan on using the shelf for lightweight stuff that I wouldn’t mind getting hit in the head with should the worst happen.)
Edit: no need to get complicated. Just wired it in place with some 12ga insulated copper in the front and some safety wire in the back
Wow been a couple years and it’s still clean! Surely you can fit a lot more clutter back there . I was going to suggest wire lol
Why a 55 gallon tank for pure water?
I want to setup a van mounted wfp type setup, so I don’t have to load and unload my wfp setup.
I’m thinking I would get either 100-200ft of flexzilla which I would connect to the customers water spigot. from there it would go through the 3 stage wfp system to the 150ft 3/4" tucker yellow hose to 100 ft xero hose.
Would this work and why the 55 gallon tank for pure water?
I have amazing water quality where I live (~35ppm from the tap), whereas many of my customers are on wells and would require better filtering. All I use are DI tanks, and just fill up at home. Also, I love the simplicity of just rolling up to a job and not having to hook up to the customer’s water.
55 gallons is a good capacity for tackling most full days of residential window cleaning. In the event I’m on a larger commercial job, I bring my DI tanks with me and filter onsite.
Small update. Still only 38,480 miles on the truck. I finally installed load resistors for the turn signals today. No more hyperflash! Nearly 7 years later
Installed an auxiliary fuel pump to help the machine pull fuel more easily (Facet-Purolator Solid State Fuel Pump 12V, 1-2Psi from Amazon). Wish I had known about these pumps sooner. Perhaps Schertz mentioned it previously but I don’t think I fully understood what he was recommending. Also replaced the low pressure fuel pump because it had a crack and was pulling some air intermittently causing the machine to stall out.
Overall the rig is working out well. I might do a full teardown this winter to address some rust issues and build a couple of items back a little more elegantly than they currently are.
