If you run flexzilla supply hose 👀

Get yourself a mini garden hose ballvalve and keep some pressure in the line. It’ll keep it from collapsing on the reel. Looks tidier, too.

That is pretty. Having gotten 100’ sections I will never have a reel that pretty. I’m just happy it fits.

That’s what most of us have. I keep 200’ on the reel but I rarely need the second section. It still rolls up okay though. That’s even with camlocks on them. When I actually need more than 100’ I usually only need another 25’ or so. I’m actually going to get rid of the second 100’ section and keep a spare 25’ and maybe 50’ coiled up in a bucket for the few times I actually need more. I always look at the job on google maps so know if I’ll need more hose than what I carry so can grab the 100’ out of the garage if need be.

I hate Flexzilla. I pay top dollar for a hose to collapse on the reel and restrict my water supply.

Yessir

Ditto. Two 100’ sections pictured there, with camlocks between them.

I like the flexilla stuff because you can drain the water out while you roll it up, it lays flat and you can get more hose on the reel. Downsize is, if you cut the water off at the tank it kinks and curls up.

What do you use ?

I use 3/4 Flexzilla. I bought it beginning of this season. I just replaced the last 100’ on the reel with Home Depot 3/4 hose that doesn’t crush so I don’t have to pull off 150’ of hose for a 50’ run.

I usually run Walmart hose but I found this stuff on Amazon. Can’t replace the ever though when they get run over

Half the time I just use 25’ or 50’ of ZeroG hose strapped to the door of my trailer, or the 100’ of Flex on the reel when their one spigot is around back.

Zero g. That’s the hose I bought. I think it’s discontinued now.

Lowe’s sells it.

Not near me. I guess I could get it online. Amazon was the only place I found it. Thanks for the heads up.

Funny, I haven’t gotten too many jobs yet, but everytime I am well over 100’ of hose. Guess it’s different int he boondocks. I can’t get my trailer on the back of my truck in some places so I do tend to park a bit further away then I want. I’m lazy, but not that lazy, I have no problems dragging 100’ of hose to my garden daily.

I lied, I have 3 75 foot sections and extra on the trailer. It is the thick rubber stuff, glad I took @Hotshot recommend on that one when the propane truck rolled over it twice. Just worried that the camlock will get hit one day. THe camlocks prevent it from rolling as pretty, but I’m glad I followed people’s advice on them and not plumbing the supply through the reel.

CostCo has zero g too. I use it on my stain trailer, they do eventually get hard and fail but keep your receipt and they will send you a new hose for 5 yrs if the old one fails. They just require a picture of the ends cut off. I’m on my 3d set.
