Identify this pump

I just picked up a belt drive unit pretty cheap in hopes of flipping it. The motor and pump have milky oil but the previous owner probably left it in the rain.

I drained both oils, motor started finally. Can anyone identify this pump, the label is MIA

Oh and when I flip the fuel lever the bowl overflows and pours out where the black carb spacer attaches to the motor. I’m thinking float valve but open to any suggestions

Looks like a Giant P200 series pump… but not sure what model.

Thanks for the link, as this is a GX390 is it a pretty good chance this is a 4gpm minimum? Pump looks pretty small.

Looks like it’s FUBAR. Hooked unit up to water today and fired up the motor, oil mixed with water almost instantly. I have a bead on a used 4/4 so we’ll see how that goes.

Bummer about the pump, but some just aren’t worth saving. You should still be able to sell the Honda by itself for a couple hundred if you need to. I’ve flipped plenty of engines and pumps, and if I can’t test the pump before buying, I always base my offer on roughly half of what I could sell the engine for alone. That way, if I get it home and the pump works great, it’s a win, and if it doesn’t, I’m not out anything.

Are you planning to throw a 4/4 on it to sell? If so, since it’s belt-driven, I’d recommend stepping up to a 5–5.5 GPM pump in the 2500–3000 PSI range. Your market may differ, but around here it’s much easier (and more profitable, with less competition) to sell a “professional” belt-driven 5.5/2900 unit than a 4/4.

I’ve done these projects before, just gives me something to do over the winter so I wasn’t surprised when the pump was bad. I’d love to put a 5gpm on it but for $150 used a 4/4 should do the trick. Hoping to make a few hundred $$$ off it in the spring.

Here’s the pump I bought yesterday. Can’t say as I recognize the fittings, he wasn’t sure what it came off of. Note the shader valve like a bicycle tire.

The flywheel is bigger than the current one too so looks like I’ll have to change that out as well or add spacers under it somehow.

Only time I’ve heard of using a schrader valve was to winterize the pump. Supposedly a lot easier to blow air or antifreeze through the system that way.

Exactly

Dude, you always have awesome input. Sharp as a tack and very generous. Carry on.
