I quit...my job!

This year all I have to say is COVID. I’m not going in anyone’s homes, unless the place is vacant for at least two days prior and following my service. I think I can count the number of interior jobs like that on one hand.

I’ve had a number of customers say they’ll see me next year, and a number of others who couldn’t wait and I referred to a competitor who is doing interior work. But a surprising number have been happy to take the screens out themselves, and let me do just the exteriors.

Bottom line, you will lose some jobs by not doing interior work. Especially when things go back to normal, and you don’t have the extenuating circumstances that come with a global pandemic.

But you have to consider the tradeoff. Interior work is my absolute lowest profit thing I do. It’s probably the same for you. So if you lose some work over it, it’s only freeing up your time for more profitable work.

Sometimes “a bird in the hand” is just that. When you could let go of the bird, and be using both hands and a rifle, taking down a moose.

True on Covid, thats an easy out. Bird in the hand, never heard that one! I will likely start to make that move next year. I’ve thought similar things, but didnt want to commit and then have misread my clients and lose a ton. Ill likely test it like I have in the past and do the new rule with new customers until I have enough of them to switch over my old ones.

And I didn’t even have to say “@Infinity quote”. Although, I did just say it. :grinning:
