I am looking to enter a new market. What has been your experience?

@florida_condo_cleani
I’d definitely recommend getting a wfp setup for exterior only. You can get set up with a carbon fibre pole and DI tank, brush, hose, QCs for a little over $1k.

  1. Insides are the profit killer.

  2. Most customer’s don’t know what they need. If you tell them, you only offer exterior, most will say, “Oh ok, we can do insides ourselves anyway…”

Thanks buddy. What would be your recommendations for good starter set up ? Two story homes not great water at them either .

What’s your TDS?
How many houses would you say per month?

What’s TDS ?
Amount per month I would just be guessing . Residential wise I do 20 plus housewash a month I just purchased the phone number to another company that is mainly residential hoping that adds another 10 or 20 optimistically I might be able to sell it to maybe 10 to 25 percent . So maybe 5 or 10 a month again just guessing until I get some feedback from homeowners

TDS = Total Dissolved Solids. The higher the number, the better the filtration is needed.

Enter your ZIP code in this link:

33647 is probably our most likely area for window cleaning services

Ohhh I see the link now

226 and the other is 430

Ok. 226 isn’t outrageous but 430 is high. You’ll probably want to go RO/DI. 35’ carbon fibre pole.

Or if you want to start with just DI, this would serve you well. 35’ pole, You will want either two 1/2 cubic ft tanks or 1 full cubit. But there some extras to make your life easier for 2-3 hundred dollars with either setup.

Hmu if/when you are going to purchase and I’ll make sure you have everything to plug and play.

Awesome man thanks. I think I’ll spend some time over there reading see if I can get a better handle on it. I do have a question concerning screens though. Every window here has a screen. Mainly because the misquotes down here will Cary you away. But do they have to be removed to clean the windows or will DI do the trick

Yeah, screens need to be removed. But have the customer do that, and low pressure wash them with your house mix

Screens take time to wash…don’t mention it’s included/don’t include them.

If a customer ask we will …but only 1 request out of over 60 window jobs this year

Update…I know when I read these post I find myself curious of the outcome.

I initially decided to wait until the new season to add on the new service (was leaning towards windows). But…I had an opportunity to move into a high $$ neighborhood. They called me (actually 3 people from the same neighborhood) and wanted a quote. They all said they have been doing there research and chose me because of the recommendations they have read! I have been practicing standard pricing (I got the idea from this forum) but I knew that wouldn’t work for this neighborhood. For me to close one of the jobs I need to be able to clean roofs. So I thought why not…

I was going to add either roofs or windows anyway so I bid the roof (partial roof). I landed the job (all 3!). I scheduled it for 2 weeks in the future. So I hurried up an got on Pressure Tek’s website and ordered the bandit set up (thank you for fast shipping). I installed the set up and practiced on my house.

Keep in mind I never cleaned a roof before but thanks to the info on this site, I felt comfortable. My house turned out beautiful! I completed the customer’s house and it turned out beautiful! I am excited to market roof cleaning in the Spring. You guys were right, the ROI on roof cleaning is good!

Thanks for all your input everyone!

I know prices vary from place to place, but what is the average per window add on to a house wash with a WFP? Im thinking of adding this service to house washes

I don’t break it down per window… just give flag rates. Usually averages out to $5 per pane outside only

OK great that’s around what I was thinking, thank you for the response.

used gas air compressor and a diaphragm pump my friend
