Hydromax shutdown mid spray

Hey yall, been awhile since I’ve been on because everything’s been going well, except yesterday. Cleaning a Bank when my Hydromax suddenly shutdown mid-spray.

First thought was low oil but that’d be weird because I topped it off before I started and sure enough the oil level was fine.

Engine cranks over but doesn’t fire.

I looked around and found a wire crimp laying under the ignition panel with a broken green wire still pinched in it. It looks pretty beat up like its been worn on for awhile till it snapped and fell off.

The web suggested this… (On small engines, a green wire is very often part of a ground/kill/shutdown circuit. If that wire broke off, the engine may crank normally but never make spark, especially if it’s tied to the low-oil sensor, ignition kill switch, key switch, or coil ground.)

Has this happened to anyone or does this sound like im going in the right direction?

I’d love some guidance so I can repair it today and finish the job. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Look around to see where the spade terminal was slid onto and find the broken wire. Crimp on new female spade and put it back together

Searched and searched today where this could have possibly come from, cant find any indication whatsoever.
