How would you approach this?

Customer said the concrete is 4 1/2 years old and isn’t sure what caused the streaking, not sure if I should take the job… would spraying 2-3% sh lighten it balance it out should I use a surface cleaner as well? Doesn’t really look like organic growth looks more like bad concrete pour but not sure looking for advice

Or am I overthinking it and a typical driveway cleaning procedure would take care of it

Also I have a 4 gpm/4400 psi pressure washer/ 16 inch whirl a way surface cleaner and 12v system with proportioner

No expert but looks like standard brushed concrete to me. Surface clean with 2500psi tips, post treat and collect check.

Do not use 4000psi on this.

I would approach that by knowing what im doing. Looks pretty standard. Do some more research

Looks like too much water was put on while finishing but lets ask the expert. @gbattle - you around?

Thanks for the tip, definitely won’t be using 4000 psi

I’m no expert but i’ve done a fair share of driveways… haven’t dealt with this type of staining before and unsure of if it can be cleaned wanted to confirm before I sent a quote, agreed always more to research

Can’t really see much from the picture, but It looks as if the concrete was covered with polyurethane sheeting after it was finished. Fresh concrete is covered with polyurethane sometimes to protect it from rain or to slow the curing process. If the polyurethane is put on too soon, or left on too long, it will bleed through and leave a print or pattern in the concrete that will not come off.

I had to read your comment twice. I was having a hard time seeing why anybody would apply a polyurethane coating to concrete. Then it all made sense that you were talking about polyurethane sheeting like this.
