How to switch between gun, sc, gun faster,

Is it a bad idea to put a ball valve in between the hose and gun? To allow for quick switching between surface cleaner and multiple guns? Without having to shut everything down?

Sounds as if you are talking to yourself

But yes… ball valve do the job, i dont care for it much. Just started using it only for when i have surface cleaner going.

Alternatively you just get a surface cleaner that you can stick your gun into

I was using voice to text. It’s not the best. And I’m tired and scatter brained. Forgive my improper grammar and incoherent sentences.

Is this a joke? Or am I missing something?

Not a joke, look it up.

Basically you use a gun as a ball valve.

Male QC at the end instead of a wand.

That’s exactly what I’m looking to do. I just wanted to be sure not to damage the machine. Thanks for the info

Oh ok that makes sense. I thought you were referencing the surface cleaner from Home Depot. LOL

I use a ball valve and like it. Quick changes between wand and surface cleaner.

Well, at least that’s what i think he was talking about

My ball valve sucks! I had to use a dead blow hammer to open it the other day. And yes it’s new! Need to send it back… Amazon buy

I use this one…not from pressure tek but their web site is one of the easiest to navigate.

It works great and the design is rock solid.

Personally I with rather not have a ball valve. They’re heavy. But if you’re running whisper wash surface cleaners then theres not really any way around it unless you want to modify them which is on my list of things to do.

Thats how I do it. I really like it too. Not heavy as some might think. However, be sure to bring the ball valve all the way to reel before you wind up so you dont drag it though its durable. @Innocentbystander likes to use his gun as the ball valve, get a sc without gun fixed to it. Makes good sense too. I just really like my WW Extreme Duty!

I wonder how well this would hold up if used while downstreaming. I recently switched all my quick connects to stainless. The brass fittings were getting corroded.

My whole ball valve assembly weighs less than a couple of lbs. I’m amazed that people say it’s heavy. I never even notice it and I’m an OF.

I’ve replaced mine once in past year. But like someone said, don’t drag it around.

I d’s with mine and So far so good. Qcs see alot more wear and tear than a ball valve. Usually when I break a ball valve its because it got dragged and the handle broke off.

It never really bothered me until I was shooting one handed off a ladder.
