How to pull from aux fuel tank on small engines

Hey guys,

I’ve gotten mixed answers so looking for someone who maybe has done it before. I have a Honda gx200 on my AR45 and the fuel tank is so tiny I want to plumb it to my larger fuel tank. I’ve heard of a small 12v pump that pushed fuel to the engine and bypasses what isn’t used and i’ve also heard of a spacer of sorts for the carb that has a fuel line you run to the tank.

Does anyone has experience with either or something different? My AR is mounted high up and i’m short so i have to hop up on the fender and balance my fuel jug and i typically let out 2-3 cusses in the process.

My friend, consider it leg day! Gasoline & electricity are 2 things I will never trifle with. I hope somebody can give a better answer but I doubt it will be safer or healthier. I would add it to the cost & buy a step ladder if need be. On the side note, I get a couple hours out of a GX390 before it runs dry, so maybe it would be a stellar upgrade? I’m ready for a break anyway by then. But nothing at all is more important than safety.

Well Good things it’s only 2 to 3 cuss words tho anything more and it’s a real issue lmao

If it’s hot and I’m pouring sweat you bet I hit double digits lol

Some generators run a GX200 - GX390 with fuel tanks well above 5 gallons but they are still gravity fed. Just be careful! Nothing wrong with a leg workout.

You can run a ported carb spacer or a ported valve cover assembly. For the smaller engine j recommend the valve cover. I ordered a carb spacer from NR racing and it fit but the bolts were not long enough.

I will be installing the valve covers soon and running lines to my 22 gallon Boyd welding tanks.

If your going to do this. Drill and tap the the block. Please do use these kits they are unreliable. They are made for the cart world. Those small engines get tore down 10 and cleaned ten times a year. They also run for a short time. You will have problems
