How to Connect Two Pressure Washers (Better Method)

Pressure Washer Products is asked how to properly connect two pressure washers in order to maximize efficiency while protecting your investments.

If these are the pieces of equipment you rely on to put food on your table, do not compromise the reliability of your moneymakers.

Remove the unloaders from each pressure washer. Install a jump hose into the outlet of each pump. If it is a 6 gpm and under pump, use two wire 3/8” ID jump hose and if greater than 6 gpm use 1/2” ID two wire jump hose from each pump.

Each jump hose should lead to a single multi-port unloader block. Install the unloader on the unloader block using minimal extra fittings. Try not to use extra quick connects.

If combining to a minimum of 8 gpm use at least a 50’ 1/2” hose for the first hose out of the unloader block. We offer a 50’ 1/2” R2 Hose with a 1/2” mpt and a 3/8 mpt end to allow you to connect to your 3/8” hoses. If combining two 8 gpm units, it’s better to use only 1/2” ID hose. At 8 gpm you lose 300 psi every 100 feet of 3/8” ID hose.

We had a rather motivated pressure washer company that asked us how to move as quickly as possible using their combined 8’s. They used 3/4” ID hose to supply their surface cleaners on miles of sidewalk and finished the job way ahead of schedule.

The advantages are as follows: stops the unbalances in the pumping system, stops the belts from slipping, pump temperatures rising, engine stress and pump wear.

Multiport unloader block? Never seen one.
No check valve?
How about…4@4k and 8@3.5k?

@PWProducts Pictures?

I’m still very backlogged with calls and orders. If I post I feel guilty.

When using this mounting block, is just one unloader used? One that can handle alot of gpm such as the general pump YU21405 that handles up to 21 gpm? If not can you explain or show a diagram on this set up? Please and thank you!
